Day 1: HCMC - Can Duoc-My Tho-Cai Be (L/D)
Meeting with guide at hotel in HCMC then route for Cai Be. Boarding at Cai Be at noon. Welcome drink, Introduction to the ship and crew, check into the cabins. Departure towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang River. Lunch while on route. Rest on the deck. Turning into Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes through the traffic of sand and rice barges, in scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards. Visit of a village on the banks of river Mang Thit, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Visit of the orchard or rice fields nearby. Boarding back, complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Rest on the deck enjoying the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac is cruising Mang Thit river. The Bassac sets anchor just downstream from the little Tra On floating market, for the night.
Day 2: Can Tho–Floating market-Thot Not–Long Xuyen (B/L/D)
You may get up for breakfast as early as 06:30, as the ship is resuming its cruise the Tra On floating market. The ship then departs towards Can Tho. Arrival in Cai Rang floating market, transfer onto a local boat to visit the floating market, the nearby arroyos and gardens and return to the Ninh Kieu pier by mid-morning. Boarding back, welcome drink and departure towards upstream river Bassac. Lunch is served on board while en route. Upon arrival at Thot Not, transfer on the longboat for a visit of a bamboo-knitting village near the Thot Not bird park, at the time the egrets return home from a day out. Boarding back before dusk, a welcome drink and the dinner are served on board while en route. Rest on the deck before the night. The Bassac drops anchor upstream of Long Xuyen for the night.
Day 3: Long Xuyen - Chau Doc (B)
Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM, as the Bassac is on its way upstream the river towards Chu Đốc. Upon arrival to Chau Doc, check-out and transfer onto a local boat for the visit of a village of the Muslim Cham minority, then final disembarkment. Overnight in hotel in Chau Doc.
Day 4: Chau Doc - Speed-boat to Phnom Penh (B)
This morning you board our speed boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh. The boat takes us along the Mekong River. It continues on to the Vietnamese (Vinh Xuong) - Cambodian (Kaom Samnar) border and then to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia. The journey takes approximately 4 hours. Arrival transfer to our hotel in Phnom Penh, the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia. A visit to Phnom Penh is a very interesting experience indeed. It is a city with an interesting pulse and it gives you a very true taste of Asia. You will visit the Wats Phnom, National museum, silver Pagoda and Royal Palace. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 5: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap by speedboat (B/D)
This morning there will be a transfer to Phnom Penh port for the boat ride to Siem Reap. The boat winds its way on Tonle Sap River, taking in spectacular views of rural life on water. Arrival Siem Reap, transfer to Angkor village resort. Visit to the Angkor Wat Temple before making our way to the summit Phnom Bakheng Temple to enjoy the sunset. Tonight we will enjoy dinner with traditional Khmer folk performance of Apsara. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 6: Siem Reap- Angkor Wat (B/L)
Today you will embark on an elephant ride to tour Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. This will include the South Gate, Bayon, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. From here we will continue to Bantaey Srei and Bantaey Kdei and especially the newly discovered Beng Mealea temple, the temple of thousand lingas. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 7: Departure (B)
Free until your transfer to the airport for departure flight.
